June Highlights

New job!

I started a new job at Zions Bank  and LOVING IT- plus my co-workers are pretty cool I guess.... hahah

Started Starry Eyed Season 2

So over the past two summers I have had the amazing opportunity to get back on the dance floor

The Johnson sisters put in many countless hours to make "The Starry Eyed" possible and I'm forever grateful that I get to dance with so many amazing dancers in the summer.

I went to my first SCA event and a camping one at that!

 because every girl need an excuse to sew 2 renaissance princess dresses and wear them....

plus Cam look super hott when fighting with swords.... and drumming... okay he's just hott...

July Highlights

Free Stadium of Fire tickets to JOURNEY!! Good thing we randomly ran into Serena!! :) Love you girlie! Plus I go to watch these cute dancers dance :)

August Highlights

We also went to the Renaissance Faire this last week and I happened to run into 3 of my fellow Surgical Tech friends

Plus only at the Renaissance Faire will you see a Chinese Dragon fight a Unicorn.....

Good to see Kristine and Jessica again and Liz danced!!

Cam also drummed for belly dancers so we had a lot to do that day.

My Aunt Gina, Uncle Ed and Cousin Steven came to Utah from California for a week

we shopped, went to the trampoline place, went to the park and fished and hung out, and went lazer tagging. Love seeing them!

We went to Idaho for Cam's grandpa's birthday and a family reunion.

So I got to meet most of his family, go camping, saw Inside Out (again and loved it just as much) and see the Pine Tree House where Cam's family has a lot of memories. It was cool.

AUGUST 31 My 22ND BIRTHDAY!!!

Spent 8-1 at work....

BUT my co-workers surprised me with Balloons and Cheesecake

Then 2-6pm with my sister Becca

6-sleep time- Ran to the dance studio to run my dance with my seniors quickly, they "sang" happy birthday and we all realized why we dance and don't sing :)- Love those girls

 and totally vegged out at home.. it was grand

 Sunday Cam and I went downtown to the mall and our favorite restaurant to celebrate my birthday festivities

It's been a good summer!!

Bring on the Fall now though because I need sweater and pumpkin chai every day season!

Crossroads

So I've decided everything in life comes down to a point,

a crossroad,

a decision

this could've been a little decision

such as like in high school

deciding

hanging out with friends vs. finishing homework and going to bed at a normal hour

summer before college

wondering if the college I chose was the right one

or even just what to do that day

that can change the course of the way you live that day

but sometimes these decisions and crossroads involved

friendships or relationships that you never imagined being compromised

and it sent you through a spiral of

"what have I done, why did I let that happend, etc."

but it's these moments in life where I realized things about myself I never would've figured out

without going through that pain and decision making

sometimes you realize that things in your life are
poisoning your chance to grow in life,

but you also see who and what is there to help you get through everything,

to help you grow and succeed in life.
you find out that sometimes things or people are
only put in your life temporarily because you needed them at that time
but not necessary now.

you also realize you're stronger than you thought your "weak" self was.

that even though that time in your life was hard

you got through it and now you can say

you "survived" that because you were strong enough

and that life is all about how you make it.

Like my friend Becca called her blog:

"Life is either a daring adventure or nothing"

Don't let the hardships in your life determine you,

they're only there to help you learm, and grow.

My friend Jentre said the most amazing thing on her facebook status the other day

"I love knowing that each morning I wake up,

 it means I get to start another wonderful day

and add another page to this book, called life. Sweet dreams:)"

rememeber that even if you have a horrible day today

tomorrrow is a new day

and you can make it how you want it to be.

If you want to have a good day

have a positive mindset and let life be the beautiful thing that it's suppose to be.
